SVWA Meetings & Board
SVWA's annual meeting will be held at Camano Island Fire & Rescue Station 2, 1326 Elger Bay Rd, Camano Island.
SVWA's annual meeting
is held in September--see the Home page for details.
Annual Meeting
The association's annual meeting is usually held on the second or third Saturday after Labor Day at 10 a.m. Please see the Home page for a scheduled date and location.
Water Test Results & Meeting Minutes
Water quality test results, meeting mintues and a recap of SVWA's annual meeting are posted to this site for the benefit of Sierra Vista residents.
Bylaws
SVWA is governed by a set of bylaws.* The bylaws were updated in 2022 after members approved a change allowing the annual meeting to be held on the second, third or fourth Saturday of September.
Board Meetings
SVWA's Board of Trustees meets about every other month to review the status of current projects and water quality testing results, discuss new issues, and monitor the budget.
Bimonthly board meetings are open to SVWA members, as space permits, as meetings are held at board members’ homes. The date, time and location may be found in the most recent meeting minutes. Please let us know in advance if you'd like to attend so we can try to ensure there is adequate seating.
Trustees may occasionally close all or part of a board meeting to confer privately in executive session to discuss legal issues, review alleged or improper conduct by a member or trustee, or address other sensitive matters. Closed sessions are normally publicized in advance. Check the schedule to confirm the time when the meeting is open to all members. There may be times when the board needs to amend its agenda during a regular meeting to meet in executive session. In such cases, the trustees will provide an estimated time or text the members when the open session reconvenes. The board may invite an attorney, professional advisor, or an SVWA member or other individual with some relationship to the matter to provide assistance to the governing body. Minutes are not required to be taken during an executive session. However, the meeting minutes will state the announced purpose of the executive session and any decisions voted on by the trustees.
Have a suggestion or question for the board or wish to volunteer? Submit written comments or questions to the trustees, attend a board meeting or bring questions to our annual meeting in September.
The Board of Trustees is comprised of five to seven volunteer trustees.
